DYVICC Inc. has an opening for a Data Management Analyst at our main office in Hoffman Estates, IL and resource might need to travel to client location as requested by client within U.S.A.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Organize and lead companywide initiatives to ensure that data quality is maintained so that data can effectively support business processes.
- Oversee analysis and reporting in support of regulatory requirements.
- Identify and recommend analysis of data quality or integrity issues.
- Evaluate data quality metrics and data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality.
- Adhere to data governance standards and procedures.
- Identify new data sources and develop recommendations for assessing the quality of new data.
- Lead project teams and mentor less experienced staff members.
- Recommend remediation of process or control gaps that align to management strategy.
- Serve as relationship manager for a line of business.
- Consult with and provide recommendations to senior management regarding assessments of the current state of data and metadata quality within area of assigned responsibility.
- Represent client in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategies.
- Partner with groups and various levels of seniority companywide to coordinate and drive collaboration on solution design and remediation execution.
Experience & Knowledge:
- Must have had at least 7 + years of working experience working in a data engineering department, preferably as a Data Engineer in a fast-paced environment and complex business setting.
- Must have a demonstrated experience in building and maintaining reliable and scalable ETL on big data platforms as well as experience working with varied forms of data infrastructure inclusive of relational databases such as SQL, column-oriented databases such as MySQL.
- Must have had experience in data warehousing inclusive of dimensional modeling concepts and demonstrate proficiency in scripting languages, for example, Python, Perl, and so forth.
- Demonstrate substantial experience and a deep knowledge of data mining techniques, relational, and non-relational databases.
- Communication Skills:
- Must be capable of conveying information and instructions clearly down the line to the junior team.
- Will have an exceptional ability to convey complex messages in a clear, simplified, and understandable manner.
- MS Office/Software:
- Must be highly proficient in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, which will all be necessary for the creation of both visually and verbally engaging reports and presentations, for senior leadership.
- Exceptional skills in SQL server reporting services, analysis services, Tableau, integration services, or any other data visualization tools.
- Technological Savvy/Analytical Skills
- Demonstrate strong computer skills and a deep passion for analytics.
- Must possess an ability to perform complex data analyses with large data volumes.
- Expert in SQL, Java, and have a keen understanding of data models and data warehouse concepts.
- Strong knowledge in Linux, OS tools, and file-system level troubleshooting.
- Must have substantial experience working with big data infrastructure tools such as Python, SQS, and Redshift.
Education:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems or Management Information Systems or related field
Work Location & Physical Requirements:
- This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities.
