DYVICC Inc. has an opening for a Network Engineer at our main office in Hoffman Estates, IL and resource might need to travel to client location as requested by client within U.S.A.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot the following:
- Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches, routers and associated technologies
- Firewall technologies
- Routers used for internal routing, ISP connectivity.
- Enterprise wireless solutions
- Develop detailed functional specifications, design documents, and test plans.
- Monitor network performance and integrity.
- Consult regarding network performance, capacity, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve support issues with cloud and local infrastructure.
- Consult with technical and business partners and serve as a consulting resource to support client-hosted installations and implementations.
- Work cross-functionally with internal and external customers to define deliverables.
- Support escalation incidents and support on-call duty requirements.
- Interface with internal clients such as sales, service, and field staff as well as external clients to define deliverables.
Experience & Knowledge:
- Cisco Enterprise Network
- Networking in virtual platforms
- Monitoring platforms
- EIGRP/OSPF
- GRE tunnels
- Multi-site/stretched datacenter environments
- Router configuration management
- TACACS and other authorization methods
- Device and networking hardening 802.1x
- Syslog
- BGP
Education:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems or Management Information Systems or related field
Work Location & Physical Requirements:
- This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities.
- The physical demands of the position described herein are essential functions of the job and employees must be able to successfully perform these tasks for extended periods.
